Summer Study Programs offers high school students the rare opportunity to “taste” college life while still in an organized and supervised environment. This “head start” eases the transition from high school to college and allows for the successful development of essential time management and study skills, self confidence and independence. By spending 2, 3, 5 or 6 weeks in a Summer Study program, students find the thought of going off to college far less threatening and, as a result, are able to eliminate much of the pre-college anxiety.   • Situated in the center of Pennsylvania and surrounded by the cooling Appalachian Mountains, the PENN STATE, UNIVERSITY PARK campus is one of the nation’s most beautiful campuses. The central campus of 540 acres is only part of the total 15,500 acreage that includes 2 Golf Courses, 48 Tennis Courts and a 72 Acre Lake! Penn State is one of America’s premier institutions of higher learning. Almost every state in the United States and most countries worldwide have students presently attending.
  • In Six & Half week College Credit program, Summer Study students attend freshman level college courses, taught by the distinguished Penn State University faculty, along with attending PSU students. Most PSU summer courses earn 3 college credits. You may CHOOSE a summer curriculum which includes one college credit course (3 or 4 credits) and either an enrichment class/workshop or The Kaplan SAT prep class. In Three & Half week Enrichment program, you may CHOOSE a summer curriculum which includes two or three enrichment classes/workshops, the full Kaplan SAT prep class or half of The Kaplan SAT Prep class (Math or Verbal) + one or two enrichment classes/workshops.
  • Each and every day, when classes are through, we offer a wide variety of planned activities for the athlete or artist alike. The extensive Penn State athletic and recreational facilities are among the most outstanding facilities on any campus.
