- The University of the Arts is devoted exclusively to education and training in the arts. Within this community of artists the process of learning engages, refines, and articulates all of our creative capabilities. Our institution was among the first to contribute to the formation of an American tradition in arts education. We continue to develop interpreters and innovators who influence our dynamic culture.
- Students in the Pre-College Summer Institute can study the visual, media, and performing arts, as well as writing, in a diverse and creative urban campus where ideas are generated and creativity is nurtured.
- The faculty of the Pre-College Summer Institute is comprised of talented and dedicated artists and professionals. Our instructors are master teachers, many of whom also teach in the undergraduate colleges of The University of the Arts.
- The Summer Institute provides a full range of activities every evening and each day on the weekends during the programs for residential students only. Activities include theme dances, trips to amusement parks, walking tours, and food and music-related events. Activities are open to residential students only.
